To the editor,

I hate teachers that ask me questions when I am not even raising my hand and expect me to know the answer. Students often raise their hands when they know the answer, so when they do not raise their hands and they look awkwardly down that is a clear sign that they do not know the answer, but some teachers ignore all the signs and just ask everyone questions when they are not raising their hands. Why do teachers keep doing that? Is it to humiliate us or to make us feel stupid?

When I was at primary school my teacher asked the whole class a question and everybody started to raise their hands except me, because I didn’t have the answer to her question. My teacher could have asked anyone in my class and she decided to ask me, because I was the only one who didn’t raise his hand. I felt so embarrassed and stupid when I couldn’t answer the question she asked me.

I hope that teacher’s stop humiliating and torturing us with questions that we do not have an answer to.
